At some point in our lives everything becomes about home. It may be a couple’s first home together, or the home where you grew up. Maybe it’s Grandma’s house at Christmas. The point is a home is more than just a structure of timber and shingles, sheet rock and concrete. Home holds meaning, memories and a treasure of experiences.

It’s this sentiment that makes a “Home Portrait” what it is, not just a picture of a house. People can get that with a cheap camera and a minute out of their day. Ink and paper, shaped by a human hand, have the ability to take someone back to a place and back through times in their lives. That’s why I make them.
